Scope of the Journal

The journal publishes high-quality work across all areas of modern medicine and healthcare, emphasizing studies that improve disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. Its scope includes internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, community health, pharmacology, pathology, oncology, neurology, public health, and medical education. NEMJ particularly encourages interdisciplinary research connecting clinical medicine with emerging fields such as molecular diagnostics, artificial intelligence, biomedical technology, clinical imaging, regenerative medicine, and evidence-based health policy. Submissions that promote patient safety, ethical practice, quality assurance, and equitable healthcare access are highly valued. The journal prioritizes studies with clinical relevance, innovation, and meaningful social impact.

Article Types

To accommodate diverse forms of scholarly communication, New Era Medical Journal accepts the following manuscript types:

• Original Research Articles: 2,000–4,500 words presenting novel findings with rigorous analysis.
• Review Articles: 2,500–6,000 words summarizing current knowledge and providing critical insights.
• Case Reports / Case Series: 1,000–2,500 words highlighting unique clinical experiences or innovative approaches.
• Short Communications: 600–1,500 words summarizing preliminary or rapidly emerging findings.
• Editorials (by invitation): 400–1,200 words addressing key issues, policy perspectives, or advancements.
• Letters to the Editor: 300–800 words offering commentary or discussion on previously published articles.
• Technical Reports: up to 1,000 words describing new techniques, tools, or procedures.

Open Access and Copyright

All NEMJ articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This ensures that readers can freely read, download, share, and adapt articles for non-commercial purposes while giving proper credit to the authors and the journal. Authors retain full copyright of their work while granting the publisher the right to publish, distribute, and preserve their work. Commercial reuse requires prior written permission. Authors may also archive their articles in institutional or subject-based repositories with proper citation to the journal.

Indexing and Discoverability

The journal ensures wide visibility of its content through indexing in CrossRef for DOI assignment and reliable citation tracking, and in Google Scholar to enhance global discoverability. 

Publication Charges and Waivers

NEMJ follows a transparent open-access model. There are no fees for submission, editorial review, or peer review. Currently, as part of a promotional initiative until December 2027, publication is entirely free for all authors. After acceptance, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies:

• Authors in India: ₹5,000 + applicable GST
• International authors: $150 USD

A waiver policy is available for researchers from economically disadvantaged regions, offering up to a 20% reduction upon editorial approval. Payments are processed securely through the official journal portal.

Digital Preservation and Ethics

NEMJ ensures long-term access and citation reliability through CrossRef DOIs, maintaining permanent traceability of all articles. 

Advertising Policy

NEMJ accepts advertisements that meet ethical standards and are clearly separated from editorial content. The journal does not endorse any product or service. Misleading, offensive, or harmful advertisements, including tobacco, alcohol, or unsafe pharmaceuticals, are not accepted. All claims must be evidence-based and supported by regulatory approval.

Privacy and Data Policy

The journal is committed to protecting personal information of authors, reviewers, readers, and website visitors. Data collected during submission, review, or site use is used solely for editorial purposes and is securely stored. NEMJ does not sell or share personal data.
